Fast Finishers Kindergarten: Ideas, Activities & More

So, I know I’ve been telling you for months that the B.A.T Book would be making an appearance in Kindergarten.  Well, many months after that promise, IT IS FINALLY done! You now have 50 GREAT activities for Kindergarten fast finishers!

Pull out the trumpets.  Sound the horns.

The B.A.T Book for Kinders has arrived!

B.A.T. stands for Brain’s Always Thinking! Using this book, your students can complete a variety of fun & appealing activities as they finish their work or can sneak in a few minutes of Free Time! The goal of the B.A.T. Book is to be an independent activity that supports learning, even for fast finishers.

For each child, you’ll photocopy the pages back to back, add the cover of your choice and bind it all together. Students keep their B.A.T. Book inside their own desks so it’s always ready to go! You can choose the cover that best suits your needs.

Kids can track their progress in their B.A.T. Book with the Progress Page in the front of their books.

Simple directions for each activity make it easy for students to complete on their own. For the Kinder version, I added visual directions. So, even if your students can’t read all of the directions, they can see the pencil & crayon icon and get an idea!

Now, in other news this week, we wrapped up our Science unit on weather {thank goodness – I’m not a huge Science person!} We chatted about the 4 Seasons and changing weather and made some fun lil’ trees for the four seasons.

It’s beginning to look a lot like St. Patrick’s Day in my room! If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you may know that it’s my absolute favorite day of the year! So, I’m doin’ up my classroom with some fun stuff!

We also did a little craftivity.  This little lady didn’t quite follow the sample, but I thought her answer was so good, I let it slide!

Both of those goodies came from my Kiss Me, I’m Irish Wee Unit!

Hopefully, this all helps you keep those fast finishers in kindergarten learning and growing!

    Slainte!
